Mandelic acid - dangers/side effects ?

I want to try mandelic acid but i am sure i read a thread on here somewhere saying it had some dangerous side effects, something scary like being carcinogenic or something and i cant remember where i saw the thread. Does anyone know anything about these possible dangers/ side effects?
