Grinding at the Start issue ?

hello,

I have a 65C Cab- It has a fresh rebuild, and runs great! Its having issues starting

1. It began by just clicking when I started it...
2. I had the battery checked, its fine
3. I loosened and tightened the contacts on the starter and it started turning over the engine, but it was really rough, felt kinda like it was grinding
4. If I get the starter spinning it smooths itself out and will immediately start. Any suggestions?
