JensenBreck created the topic: Battery Acid Leak...Should Have Replaced
hello,

I had been thinking I should replace my Delco battery BEFORE something happened, just based on its age (not having any real problems). This morning on the way to work I had to swerve to avoid some debris from the car ahead, and all of a sudden I get all kinds of "Service Traction Control" and other warnings on the DIC, and the car completely dies (at 65 mph). Trying to restart it I only got a "click-click-click" sound, and also was unable to start it with jumper cables. After a tow to the dealer, it turned out that battery acid had leaked from the positive terminal and ended up on the PCM (I can't figure out why GM would put the PCM under the battery!!), causing the warnings. Battery was totally dead...

Please help.
Thanks!

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
