Hi,

I know from my experience with tantalum that it will be fine in the HCl acid environment but during our process the tantalum will be exposed to a sodium cyanide solution which creates a basic environment that could have a PH as high as 11. Will your tantalum coatings be compatible with this environment?

Thanks
John

Hello John,

Yes...Tantalum will be immune to sodium cyanide. Attached you will find in the back of our brochure a convenient corrosion table showing all the media where tantalum will have no corrosion rate.
