Question about oxalic acid

hello,

I was just wondering how many of you have used this acid in your pickling bath? I have read it is a dangerous chemical but i see that several supply houses sell it,so is it that dangerous or not?I have read that several people recommend citric acid as an alternative.Any thought would be appreciated
